　　　　王启才，男，1947年4月生，湖北省南漳县人，汉族。1969年毕业于湖北中医学院中医系中医专业，即留校从事针灸的教学、医疗和科研工作。1987年调南京中医学院针灸系，任针灸临床教研室主任、工会主席，现为南京中医药大学国际教育学院教授、研究生导师。兼任中国针灸学会临床分会秘书长，加拿大Tai-e中医学院副院长兼教务主任，香港大学中医药学院客座教授，香港中医药研究院顾问、客座教授，中日特种针法研究会讲师团教授，辽宁国际中医培训中心客座教授，新世纪全国高等中医药院校规划教材《针灸治疗学》主编。

　　　先后赴香港、法国、北非阿尔及利亚和西非贝宁共和国讲学、医疗。善于思考，勤于笔耕，在国内外医学刊物上发表学术论文近200篇，医学科普文章200余篇，许多有新意的论文被国内外中医药学术交流大会评为优秀论文。主编和参编著作40余部（主编25部、副主编6部）。代表作有：《王启才新针灸学》、《当代针灸医学新论》、《针医心悟》、《针灸治疗学》、《针灸医学宝典》、《实用针灸辨证论治精要》、《当代针灸治验精粹》、《特定穴临床应用》、《经络的研究及临床应用》、《经络发微》及《二级经络学》（英文版）等。

　　 1978年参编并审定全国高等中医药院校统编教材《针灸学》（第4版），首先将“经期禁针”的全新学术见解写进全国针灸教材中，得到同行专家的认同，被后来历届教材所沿用。《关于经期禁针问题的研讨》被录入《中国高新医论精选》一书中，并获得1996年台湾国际传统医学学术会议最高荣誉奖。1994年参加全国高等中医药院校规划教材《针灸治疗学》的编写工作；2001年主编新世纪全国高等中医药院校规划教材《针灸治疗学》（该教材2005年被评为南京中医药大学优秀教材）；2002年主审全国高等中医药院校成人教育教材《针灸学》。

　　 　　从教、从医40年来，积累了丰富的教学经验，教学生动活泼，幽默风趣，深入浅出，理论联系实际，既有深度，又有广度，教学风格和效果深受海内外各种层次中外学生的青睐。1989年获南京中医学院优秀教学质量奖，2003年获南京中医药大学优秀教师奖教金，2006年被中国科协评为全国先进科技工作者。

　　　　1994年被中国国际名人研究院、中华国际人物辞书出版社特别录入《中国名医列传》和《中国当代中西名医大辞典》中，1997年又被香港中国国际交流出版社特别录入《世界优秀医学专家人才名典》之中。其事迹和医、教、研成就被诸多报刊杂志所刊载。

　　Dr. WANG, Qi Cai, a doctor of Nan Jing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was born in April 1948 in Nanzhang County in Hubei province of China. After he graduated with a TCM major from Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, he taught acupuncture at the College and performed clinical work and research. In 1987, he was redeployed to the acupuncture department in Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and became Chief of the Clinical Acupuncture School. Presently he is a professor and supervisor of postgraduate students at the International Educational College of Nanjing University of TCM. He is also a chief secretary of the clinical branch of the Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion Association, a consultant and visiting professor at the TCM Research Center in Hong Kong, a lecturer at the Sino-Japan Special Acupuncture Research Association, and a visiting professor at the Liaoning International TCM Training Center.

　　Dr. Wang has lectured and performed clinical practice in Hong Kong, France, Algeria and Berlin. He is an intelligent and hard working practitioner and lecturer. He has had more than 400 academic articles published in medical journals both domestically and abroad. Many of his articles expound new ideas and have received excellent appraisals. He has contributed to the compilation of over 40 books. His academic monographs include Zhen Yi Xin Wu (Learned as an Acupuncturist) and Research and Clinical Application of the Theory of Meridians and Collaterals. In the 4th edition of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, a textbook for the national TCM colleges and universities, he included an article on the “Contraindicated of acupuncture during the menstrual cycle”. His colleagues endorsed his views and continue to include them in subsequent editions of this publication. His article On Contraindication During Menstrual Cycle was recorded in Zhong Guo Gao Xin Yi Lun Jing Xuan ( New and Advanced Medical Opinions in China), and achieved a top award at Taiwan International Traditional Medicine Academic Conference in 1996.

　　In 1994, he participated in the compilation of the 2nd edition of Acupuncture Therapeutics which was a programming textbook for national TCM colleges and universities. In 2002, he was chief reviewer for the 2nd edition of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, a textbook for adult education in the national TCM field as well as the chief compiler for the 4th edition of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Therapeutics, a programming textbook for national TCM Colleges and Universities.　　 　　　　He has 40 years experience teaching students and treating patients. He has accumulated rich experience in teaching; therefore, his lectures are very vivid and humorous and keep the attention of his students. By combining clinical cases with theories, he makes complicated material easier for listeners to grasp. His lectures are profound, with depth and breadth. His teaching style attracts students in different levels both at home and abroad. He has received teaching awards of excellence from the Nanjing University of TCM in 1989 and 2003.

　　He is honorably mentioned in the International Celebrity Research Center in China and Zhonghua International Characters Dictionary Press 1994, and in Biographies of Chinese Famous Doctors and the Dictionary of Contemporary Famous Chinese and Western Doctors. In 1997 the Hong Kong Chinese International Communication Press acknowledged him in their publication, Talent Dictionary of World Medical Experts. His story and achievements in clinical, teaching and research fields have been reported in numerous newspapers and journals.
